Estoy de acuerdo con la página. El clínico no solo suele desconocer la teoría de la variabilidad de las magnitudes bioquímicas, la pre-, analítica y biológica intraindividual, sino q también suele desconocer la naturaleza estadística de los valores de referencia poblacionales y que por definición un 5% de la población sana presentará unos valores "fuera" de ese rango, y la no idoneidad de los valores de referencia poblacionales cuando la variabilidad biológica interindividual es muy alta, ni tan siquiera que el valor predictivo de resultados positivos, depende solo de ellos, solicitando pruebas en población con alta prevalencia de la enfermedad.
En España en la Universidad no suelen impartir esa formación.
Y el especialista del laboratorio clínico no solo debe ayudar a una correcta interpretación a través del informe, sino también a través de un Servicio de Atención al Cliente, como existe en cualquier organización, y así aportar su conocimiento y no solo datos en el 70% de las decisiones clínicas en el que interviene el laboratorio.

I agree with the page. Physicians not only might be unfamiliar with the theory regarding the variability of biochemical magnitudes, pre-, analytical and intra-individual biological, but also might not know the statistical nature of the population reference values and, by definition a 5% of healthy individuals will present values ‘out of range’, and the unsuitability of the population reference values when the inter individual biological variation is very high, not even that the predictive value of positive results depend upon them, requesting tests in population with high prevalence of the disease.
That information is not generally given at the University, in Spain
The clinical laboratory specialist not only must help to an appropriate interpretation from the report, but also through a Customer Service, as existing in any organization, in order to contribute his knowledge and not only with data in 70% of the clinical decisions where the laboratory is involved.
